Beyond Awareness – Sparking Change
Northalnd Prevention Conference

Calling all coalition members and caring adults! Join the Northland Prevention Network for a one-day event that will equip our communities to go ‘Beyond Awareness and Spark Change’ to reduce youth substance use and improve mental health/wellness. To kick off the day, the Northland Coalition President will share a welcome message and awards will be presented to those who have made an impact in prevention this year. Following awards, attendees will hear from featured speaker, Yvonne Williams. After a short break, attendees will pick two breakout sessions to attend. Included this year is a networking session and resource fair. Together, we can use the power of prevention to create safe and healthy communities to live, learn, and grow in. A continental breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Upcoming Training Opportunities

Trauma-Informed Training Opportunity

KC Northland Strong, a collaborative working to build a trauma- informed and resilient Northland, recognizes the stress and trauma caused by COVID-19. In response, they are providing this FREE, 1-hour training via Zoom to organizations, businesses, and companies in Clay, Platte and Ray Counties. The training will identify the trauma we are all experiencing and our responses, but more importantly, will guide attendees in developing self-care skills and building pillars of resilience.
